After recording a strong business performance in 2025 that resulted in a profit of over TZS 1.04 trillion, CRDB Bank today launched its 2026 campaign dubbed “Benki Kimpango Wako”, aimed at improving customer service by reducing transaction processing time and enabling customers to self-serve according to their own preferences, at their own time, from anywhere in the world. The campaign was launched by the Group Managing Director and CEO of CRDB Bank, Abdulmajid Nsekela, who thanked customers, investors, strategic partners, and all stakeholders for the trust they have placed in the country’s largest bank. “Last year, we recorded significant profits due to the strong cooperation we received from individual customers, entrepreneurs, institutions, organizations, government entities, and our partners. You are the reason CRDB Bank exists. Every account you opened, every loan you took, every transaction you made, and every project you implemented through CRDB Bank gave us the strength and motivation to work even harder. I believe in and appeal for this cooperation to continue this year as well,” said Nsekela. In 2025, CRDB Bank recorded a profit before tax of TZS 1.04 trillion, representing a growth of 33 percent, while profit after tax reached TZS 725 billion, an increase of 31 percent compared to 2024. The Bank’s balance sheet also expanded to TZS 22.2 trillion, a growth of 33 percent, and during the same period it disbursed loans amounting to TZS 13.7 trillion, equivalent to a growth of 32.6 percent. Nsekela said this growth translates into a greater capacity to finance development projects, support the growth of small, medium, and large businesses, increase production, create new jobs, and empower youth, women, and entrepreneurs to achieve their economic goals. “These achievements reflect the strong collaboration of all our stakeholders. We will continue to implement our mission of improving the lives of our people and the economy of our nation, as well as other markets where our bank operates. We are a Bank That Listens to the Customer, and by doing so, we are able to find solutions to every customer’s challenge,” said Nsekela. Due to advancements in science and technology, increased business competition, and the growing importance of personal economic and development planning, Nsekela noted that customers now require financial services that are simple, fast, and aligned with their individual strategies. This is why CRDB Bank has introduced the Benki Kimpango Wako campaign, with the intention and commitment to prioritize customers and other stakeholders who are part of its business success. Nsekela explained that these efforts to improve and strengthen services for customers and stakeholders began last year with enhancements to the Bank’s core banking system, aimed at positioning the Bank at international service delivery standards, followed earlier this year by the launch of a representative office in Dubai. “Our core banking system upgrades were intended to transform how the Bank operates and how customers receive services. Today, we are launching a campaign we call “Benki Kimpango Wako”. We assure Tanzanians and our customers around the world that CRDB Bank is a reliable and trustworthy partner in accessing financial services. In 2026, we promise even better and more dependable services,” said Nsekela. The launch of the Benki Kimpango Wako campaign comes at a critical moment in the nation’s history, as the Government begins implementing the National Development Vision 2050, which envisions Tanzania’s economy as inclusive, with financial services reaching more citizens, and financial institutions serving as pillars of economic growth, innovation, and social well-being. To access reliable services, customers can be served at any CRDB Bank branch in Tanzania, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), or at the representative office in Dubai, as well as through various platforms including SimBanking, internet banking, or CRDB Wakala. These services are also available to customers who follow religious principles, through the CRDB Al Barakah window. “CRDB Bank is a bridge to opportunities for all citizens. The Benki Kimpango Wako campaign reminds every stakeholder that CRDB Bank is a trusted partner in the development journey, aligned with the customer’s plan and on the customer’s time,” Nsekela emphasized.
